Fashion Industry and Drugs Lords

Someone would think that the fashion industry has nothing in common and that is not true on two fronts. The first being the big lie they tell young women that having their product will somehow make them feel better. The other being profit margins.. A woman’s beauty has nothing to do with how she looks. The fashion industry has been involved in a crime that is in some ways is worst than drug lords. At least with drug lords, you know what the game is at least.

The thing about the fashion industry is they convince young girls and women that they have to have the newest trend. They have been very good at it for a very long time. We all know that a size 9 by one manufactured by one company is not the same as another. Magazines that promote a false narrative are one of their biggest tricks. Women out there everywhere let me in on a little secret what a potential partner is more concerned about is between your ears and not how your body looks. Physical attraction only lasts for so long if your partner can put two brain cells together. No long-term relationship will last if it’s based on looks.

Why I get such joy in hammering the fashion industry and drug lord’s parents can’t be left off the hook totally. I have seen firsthand when a mother tries to live her life through her daughter. In the end, it is your choice as a parent.

Do you want to raise a young woman into adulthood that is a joy to be around while also being smart and accomplished? If not you are doing a major disservice.

The Good Old Days

As we age we have a tendency to think of years past as the good old days. I hate to burst that bubble but they weren’t. In the U.S. many look back at the 1950s with fondness. It may be because those were perceived as quieter times. They were not by any imagination. There was the all-out possibility of thermal nuclear war. Those were the days of the old duck and cover drills. You United States Senate hearings on espionage. There was a Senator who openly called the President of the United State a traitor. He died in a plane crash they claimed was an accident. Many others have thought for years that it wasn’t an accident!

Then there was the Koren War which the vast majority of the media didn’t bother to cover. Listen to the stories of what those men and women went through and their bravery cannot be underestimated.

All generations look back with fondness but in the end, their lives like people before had it’s own special problems.
