Regardless of what religious views you have or may not there is one truth for writers.
All writers are deep people of faith because when you think about every time they write they are putting their writing of faith on the line. In ways, it really is a scary concept to actually contemplate.
Of course for those of us who have a passion for writing it’s in many ways it’s just the price we pay.
So those of us who love to write there is a faith that our words matter and there is no getting around it.
Through the years I have noticed that authors make the biggest mistake time and time again. Other types of businesses fall into this same trap.
You can have all the marketing and sales tactics you can ever dream of and that doesn’t work long term.
I know this is not sexy but the fact is it all comes down to the number 1. It’s about making a connection on some kind on a personal level to each person. If you don’t then you will fail. People like D.Wallace Peach and her buddies have figured this out a long time ago.
While I am at it this morning something else has crossed my mind. For those of us who are older, we want to buy things and not be sold things. By the time you reach a certain age, you have heard all the lies and promises.
Another early morning and of course my mind was running through things of which I need to write. As many of you know you have a choice of tossing and turning or biting the “bullet” and getting up. In the end, the tossing and turning isn’t going to stop and you know it!
So you get up and then most of those things you were tossing and turning about leave your brain by the time your feet hit the floor. So with that in mind, I figured I would brighten your morning with this beautiful picture.
So now we all face the dilemma of whether or not to go back to bed? I submit that going back to bed will put you in the same cycle. So get your cup of coffee and get to work because as writers it’s that constant solitude that only writers can understand!
